Leo Khan's Centurion Shred Case Study

Project Type: Long-Form Landing Page/Brand Voice Development (Spec Copy)

The Brief (Spec Intent)

Build a bold, hyper-confident, “tough coach” persona for a male fitness trainer.

Create a voice that is unapologetically direct but still motivational.

The Goal

Immediately signal that this coach is not “soft” or generic.

Attract men who respond to discipline, grit and masculine challenge.

Differentiate from mainstream, influencer-style online fitness brands.

Target Audience

Adult men (25–45).

Struggling with fitness, discipline or body confidence.

Prefer blunt honesty over gentle motivational clichés.

Tone & Brand Voice Requirements

Aggressive but not cruel.

Masculine, confrontational, no-BS.

A blend of drill-sergeant, gym buddy and high-stakes hype man.

Challenges/Strategy

Must balance “tough” with “trustworthy.”

Needed to avoid sounding parody-like or hostile.

Had to maintain energy across a long-form piece without fatiguing the reader.

My Approach

Use rhythmic, punchy lines and repeatable slogans.

Lean into primal, warrior-like imagery (Centurions, battle, grit).

Structure the copy like a hype-cycle: challenge - intensity - reassurance - call to action.

Outcome/What the Copy Achieves (Spec Impact)

Creates a confident, distinctive character brand that stands out sharply in the fitness niche.

Shows ability to sustain a high-drama tone at long form.

Demonstrates voice versatility and emotional pacing.
